Mr. Farooq has a work experience of 17 years in Financial and Industrial Sector. In financial sector, he was primarily involved in credit analysis, marketing and receivable management. Core purpose was to extend credit to SME and Corporate clients as per their requirement. During his 11 years of association with Financial Sector, he worked with ORIX Leasing Pakistan Limited, Faysal Bank Limited, IGI Investment Bank and Bank Alfalah Limited. While working with Industrial sector, he remained involved in developing and initiating Coal Gasification project for Steel sector in collaboration Chinese counterpart.

In 2015, Mr.Farooq started a Consulting business based on Business Process Outsourcing Model to facilitate the startups and existing setups by customizing solutions to their problems. As a mentor, he been associated with UNIDO/GCEP/ GEF, Islamabad Startup Weekend &Pakathon and worked with teams involved in Technology, Water Purification and Agri- business.
